Interesting. I am in agreement with the comment that paying for monthly subscriptions will overall effect D&D in a negative way. I think it is cool that they are giving you the option to play D&D over the net to an extent but to me D&D is a game to be played on the floor of an old farm house leaning up against the furnace which reeks of natural gas every time it kicks on. Its about hanging with your friends (in the same frickin room) so you can throw a pencil at them potentially putting out an eye, because your pissed that they conjured up a frickin elephant and have it frickin squash you just cause you cut the head off of the annoying frickin kender who you caught picking your pockets! The virtual gaming table sounds awesome but i am more than happy with lil nondescript figs on a dry erase graph map. Well there you have my country hick opinion, you dont like it ill hunt you down and stab you with my old timer while finishing off my spam sandwich.....yeehaw
Yes but on the flip side it will give people who live in say Los Angeles the ability to play with say people in Ohio again who they shared said memories of the Phone Goddess and Reggie The Wonder Mutt.
To be honest of all the things 4e has to offer this is the one thing I am most anxiously waiting for. We'll be talking about the virtual table and its status in development on the next episode so stick around!
who knows but i think it will b neat to b able to see your fig as you design it. that is the only thing i look forward to with 4e. I know it will allow me to play with u all online which is cool but i would rather travel to columbus and play with u and quik and big D over playing on the net neday!
